The Sesia Gorges are certainly one of the most fascinating stretches for rafting in northern Italy.
Characterised by intense rapids interspersed with small ponds of emerald green water, rafting in the Sesia Gorges is a full-on adventure experience.

Accompanied by a Rafting Guide, you will venture into a picturesque gorge where, in addition to rafting, those who wish can try their hand at jumping from the rocks and learn the scouting and transfer techniques typical of those who navigate very wild river routes.

Given its characteristics, this descent is only possible in ideal hydrometric conditions, typically feasible during the months of July, August and September.

What do you need to go rafting?
Although you will be provided with a buoyancy aid – commonly known as a life jacket – it is advisable to know how to swim or not be afraid of the water, to have normal motor skills and, since this is an activity in a natural environment, not to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Meet at the Alpin Rider Centre, our outdoor and rafting hub located in Mollia right at the foot of Monte Rosa in the province of Vercelli.

After completing the formalities, you will be given your technical equipment, take a short transfer with our shuttle, and once you arrive at the boarding area, we will start your new adventure.
A short briefing, a theoretical lesson to learn the safety positions, how to paddle and the commands that allow the group to paddle in a coordinated manner, and then off through the rapids!

There are many surprises during the descent! The choice of the descent “lines” will be as challenging as you feel motivated to take on the challenge, and for first-timers, an exciting paddle through the rapids with more “traditional” lines.
