Yamadera (Risshaku-ji Temple)
Begin your journey at the legendary Yamadera, a sacred mountain temple founded in AD 860. Climb the famous stone staircase through ancient cedar forests to scenic viewpoints overlooking the valley. Experience the tranquil atmosphere that inspired the renowned haiku poet Matsuo Basho during his journey in The Narrow Road to the Deep North.

Mogami River Cruise
Cruise through the spectacular Mogami River Gorge aboard a traditional sightseeing boat. Admire dramatic cliffs and seasonal landscapes while listening to the boatman perform the traditional Mogami River Boat Song, a cherished local cultural experience.

Ginzan Onsen
