On this return, you’ll discover the authentic Norway, featuring some of the most stunning locations that Western Norway and Hardanger have to offer.
The tour departs from Bergen city centre (Strandkaien 17) at 08:30, and from the Jekteviken Cruise Terminal at 08:45. It returns to the same locations at approximately 16:00.
We begin the journey by passing through the southern suburbs of Bergen, where you’ll see impressive examples of Norway’s tunnel engineering — a characteristic feature of travel in Western Norway. After a short ferry crossing, we stop along the Hardangerfjord in Mundheim, where the fjord begins and the landscape opens up. We then continue along the fjord to Strandebarm, where we make another well-paced stop to enjoy a gentle walk along idyllic nature trails right by the water.
We then visit Berge Gard & Gartneri, a family-run garden and plant nursery, where a delicious lunch is served in green surroundings among flowers and plants.
The tour continues to two impressive waterfalls near Norheimsund, including Steinsdalsfossen, where a path allows you to walk behind the cascading water and experience the power of nature up close.
Throughout the day, a knowledgeable local guide accompanies the tour, sharing insights about the region, its culture, and everyday life. Travel is by comfortable, premium coach with an experienced local driver.
A day to savour – stunning fjords, local traditions, and pure Hardanger beauty!
