Join this carefully designed summer day tour to explore some of southern Hokkaido’s most iconic destinations. This itinerary combines natural scenery, clear spring water, and unique volcanic landscapes, making it suitable for first-time visitors to Hokkaido.
Morning:
Meet at a designated meeting point in central Sapporo and depart by bus.
First, visit Kyogoku Fukidashi Park (Mt. Yotei Spring Water Park) (approx. 30 minutes). The park is known for its crystal-clear spring water sourced from Mt. Yotei and is selected as one of Japan’s “100 Famous Waters.”
Next, proceed to the Lake Toya Observatory (approx. 30 minutes), where you can enjoy panoramic views of Lake Toya and the surrounding volcanic terrain.
Continue to Lake Hill Farm (approx. 30 minutes) for a short break. Guests may purchase local farm products such as fresh milk or ice cream at their own expense.
Afternoon:
Make a short stop at Lake Toya Pier Hot Spring Street (approx. 20 minutes) for free time to explore the lakeside area.
Then visit Showa Shinzan (approx. 60 minutes), an active volcanic site. You will have free time here to explore, dine, or relax at your own pace.
Finally, visit Noboribetsu Hell Valley (approx. 40 minutes). Walk along designated paths to observe geothermal activity, including steam vents and hot spring flows. This area is one of Hokkaido’s most representative volcanic landscapes.
After the tour, return by bus to the original meeting point in central Sapporo.
