After being picked up by your live guide, depart from your hotel in Praia, the airport, or the cruise terminal to discover the wonders of the island of Santiago.
After a one-hour drive, passing through mountains, deep valleys, and villages in the island's interior, you will arrive at Serra Malagueta, where you will begin your hike at 700 metres in the natural park.
After an hour of walking with your live guide explaining the park's endemic plants and animals, begin your descent to the Gongon Valley from Antena, with the most beautiful view of the island's east coast.
Then you will arrive at the first house of the local residents, where you will have the opportunity to interact and see what daily life is like for these resilient people who live on one of the highest points of the island with few resources.
Enjoy your picnic in contact with nature, with plantations of mango, banana, and sugarcane trees, and inhame with its typical houses, most of which are abandoned.
At the end of the hike, we will stop at a local restaurant for a cool drink.
You will then travel along the east coast of the island, between rocks, lava flows, and fishing villages.
You will then visit the largest banana and coconut plantation in Santiago.
Finally, return to Praia by car. The excursion ends with transport to your accommodation, the airport, or the cruise ships.
