After being picked up by your guide, depart from your hotel in Praia, the airport or the cruise ship port to discover the wonders of Santiago Island.

After a one-hour drive through mountains, deep valleys and villages in the island's interior, you will arrive at Serra Malagueta and begin your hike at an altitude of 700 metres in the natural park.

After an hour's hike with an explanation of the park's endemic plants and animals by your guide, begin your descent to the Gongon Valley from Antena, with the most beautiful view of the island's east coast.

You will then arrive at the first house of the local residents, where you will have the opportunity to interact with them and see what daily life is like for these resilient people who live on one of the highest points of the island with few resources.

Enjoy your picnic in close contact with nature, in a setting made up of plantations of mango trees, banana trees, sugar cane and yams, as well as typical houses, most of which are abandoned.

At the end of the hike, we will stop at a local restaurant for a refreshing drink.

You will then drive along the east coast of the island, passing cliffs, lava flows and fishing villages.

You will then visit the largest banana and coconut plantation in Santiago.

Finally, you will return to Praia by car, and the day trip will conclude with transport to your accommodation, the airport, or the cruise ships.
