Begin your adventure by meeting your guide and horse near the entrance to Tayrona National Park. After a short introduction, set off on a scenic ride through the shaded trails of the Tayrona forest, where you’ll spot native wildlife and learn about the region’s diverse flora, including medicinal plants used by local communities. The gentle rhythm of the horses and the sounds of the forest create a truly immersive experience.
Continue along the River Stones, following the path where the river winds through the landscape. Your guide will point out unique features of the ecosystem and share insights into the area’s rich biodiversity. As you approach the coast, the trail opens up to the breathtaking Los Naranjos Beach, a unique spot where the river meets the Caribbean Sea. Here, you’ll have time to walk along the shore, feel the sand beneath your feet, and, if you wish, enjoy a gallop along the water’s edge.
The experience is designed for all levels, from beginners to experienced riders, and is suitable for ages 6 to 80. You’ll ride for about an hour through the forest and river area, then spend another hour at the beach, with the option to walk or gallop. The tour concludes back at the starting point, leaving you free to continue exploring the region or relax nearby. Two daily departures let you choose between a morning ride or a sunset experience.
