Located inside Hacienda La Chimba, just 20min from San José, the Mantra Trail offers a unique self-guided hiking experience through lush landscapes, panoramic viewpoints, and iconic sculptures that reflect the soul of Costa Rica.

This scenic trail invites you to walk at your own pace, disconnect from the noise of the city, and reconnect with nature and yourself. Along the route, you’ll encounter impressive artistic landmarks, peaceful spaces for reflection, and unforgettable photo spots overlooking the mountains of San José.

As you hike through the Mantra Trail, you will discover:

• The majestic Buddha, symbolising peace and harmony
• The iconic Costa Rica Letters
• A traditional Costa Rican Ox Cart, representing local heritage
• The Seven Jars Arch
• A romantic Heart Arch
• The colourful Morpho Butterfly Wings, inspired by Costa Rica’s biodiversity
• The emblematic Hand of the Mantra, built from coffee plant stems and offering one of the most breathtaking panoramic views in the area
• The LOVE Letters, perfect for photos and memories

Each sculpture is thoughtfully placed along the trail, creating a meaningful and visually stunning journey from start to finish.

Choose between three different trail distances, depending on your pace and preference:

• 5 km route – approximately 2.5 hours
• 9 km route – approximately 3.5 hours
• 3 km route – approximately 1.5 hours (available only when combined with an additional activity or food experience)

All routes include access to the sculptures and scenic viewpoints.
