Day 1: Departure from Samana & Arrival at Caño Hondo Hotel
Ferry Ride from Samana to Sabana de la Mar:
To begin your adventure, take the ferry from Samana to Sabana de la Mar. Choose from three departure times: 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM, or 3:00 PM. The ferry ride takes approximately 1 hour, and you will be asked to pay the $5 USD ferry fee (each way) in cash at the ferry terminal.

Arrival in Sabana de la Mar, meet the team at the port and transfer by land to Caño Hondo Hotel, a peaceful and eco-friendly retreat nestled in the heart of nature.

Arrival at Caño Hondo Hotel:
Once you arrive at Caño Hondo, check in and settle into your comfortable accommodation surrounded by lush tropical forests. The hotel offers beautiful views, an incredible natural atmosphere, and access to the Caño Hondo Pools—a series of natural spring-fed pools where you can relax and swim. Enjoy the tranquility of the environment and take some time to unwind.

Dinner & Relaxation at the Hotel:
In the evening, enjoy a delicious Dominican dinner at the hotel’s restaurant, featuring local and fresh ingredients. After dinner, relax and take in the serene surroundings, or take a leisurely walk through the hotel’s natural landscapes before retiring for the night.

Day 2: Boat Tour of Los Haitises
Morning: Breakfast at the Hotel:
Start your day with a delicious breakfast at the hotel, enjoying the peaceful morning views of the surrounding nature.

Boat Tour of Los Haitises :
After breakfast, be transferred to the Los Haitises National Park boat dock for an exciting boat tour of this incredible natural wonder. This guided boat tour will take you through mangroves, coastal lagoons, and to stunning limestone caves, where you’ll have the chance to see ancient Taino petroglyphs. Your guide will share fascinating details about the history and biodiversity of the park, including the unique flora and fauna that make this place so special.

During boat tour, you’ll also have the opportunity to explore the Cueva de la Línea (Line Cave), which holds ancient Taino rock carvings. Paddle through the calm waters and experience the park's awe-inspiring landscapes up close.

Return to Samana
After the boat tour, return to Caño Hondo Hotel to gather your belongings and check out. Be transferred back to Sabana de la Mar Port where you will take the ferry back to Samana at 1:00 PM, 3:00 PM, or 5:00 PM (depending on availability). The return ferry ride takes about 1 hour and is at your own expense ($5 USD each way, payable in cash).

back in Samana:
Once you arrive back in Samana Port, your tour concludes with lasting memories of a beautiful and serene adventure in the Dominican Republic’s natural wonders.
