What you can expect
Head to the entrance of Saint-Paul-de-Vence to immerse yourself in one of the most iconic villages of the French Riviera. Your live guide will greet you and take you on a 1.5-hour walk through cobbled streets, past artists' houses and galleries, and along panoramic ramparts.
You will start by discovering the gates and the old fortifications, before climbing the wall to admire the view of the hills and the Mediterranean in the distance. Along the way, your live guide tells you about the history of this hilltop village, its medieval origins, its traditions, and how Saint-Paul-de-Vence became a haven for artists and writers.
You will then wander the narrow streets full of galleries, workshops, and iconic boutiques. Stop in a church steeped in history, in front of some remarkable facades, and in the studios of artists who are still working. The live guide punctuates the tour with little anecdotes about the great figures who have left their mark on the village and its surroundings, such as Marc Chagall and the artists linked to the Maeght Foundation, as well as about the daily life of the people of Saint-Paul at different times.
Throughout the tour, your live guide shares their favourite spots, their preferred vantage points for photos, and tips for continuing to explore the village after the tour. The goal: to make you feel like a guest rather than just a tourist.
Whether you are passionate about history, art, or simply looking for a lovely walk, this tour of Saint-Paul-de-Vence offers you a complete experience: heritage, panoramas, culture, and art all in one visit.
