Phở is more than just a noodle soup — it is a cultural symbol of Vietnam, especially in the North. The dish is known for its deeply aromatic broth, tender meat, fresh rice noodles, and an abundance of herbs. In this immersive experience, you'll work step-by-step with a local chef to prepare an authentic version of phở bò (beef pho) or phở gà (chicken pho), depending on your preference.

We’ll start by learning how to roast spices such as star aniseed, cinnamon, and cardamom — essential for building pho’s distinctive flavour. You’ll also master the techniques of preparing the broth: simmering bones or chicken, skimming, and seasoning just right. While the broth cooks, you’ll prepare accompaniments like rice noodles, bean sprouts, and fresh herbs, and learn how to slice and prepare beef or chicken for the perfect finish.

Vegetarian options are available upon request — we’ll show you how to make a rich, plant-based broth with mushrooms and aromatic herbs.
