It starts from San Giovanni Evangelista, where the court intrigues of Galla Placidia trace the first trail of blood in the city's history. The tour continues to the Baptistery of the Arians, the scene of the decline of the Ostrogoths, a dynasty that perished amid conspiracies and violence.

In the heart of Piazza del Popolo, a demonic episode from the Decameron resurfaces, while in Via Salara we return to the Renaissance: here, Duke Della Rovere eliminated a troublesome cardinal without hesitation. In Piazza Kennedy, the crimes (almost always unpunished) of the very powerful Rasponi family emerge, who dominated the city more through fear than by law.
