Activity itinerary

Puerto Princesa City Baywalk Park
  • 10m
A long, paved seaside promenade along Sandoval Street beside Puerto Princesa Bay where locals and visitors stroll, jog, or just relax by the water. It’s often compared to Manila Bay’s promenade but with cleaner air, a calmer vibe, and scenic views.
Plaza Cuartel
  • 10m
During the Japanese occupation (1942–1945), the Plaza was used as a prison camp for captured Allied soldiers. On December 14, 1944, fearing an Allied return, Japanese forces forced about 150 American prisoners of war (POWs) into tunnels beneath the Plaza and killed them by fire and other brutal methods — an atrocity known today as the Palawan Massacre. Only 11 prisoners survived by escaping and swimming to freedom. It stands as a sombre reminder of the horrors of war and serves both as an educational site for visitors and a place of reflection for local communities and descendants of those affected.
Immaculate Conception Cathedral
  • 30m
The first Catholic Mass in Puerto Princesa was celebrated at this site on March 10, 1872 by Fray Ezequiél (Exequiel) Moreno, an Augustinian Recollect missionary, just days after Spanish explorers arrived in the area. He established the parish under the patronage of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Mitra's Ranch
  • 30m
Breathtaking Views: The ranch sits atop Sta. Monica Heights, offering sweeping vistas over the city, lush hills, and the Sulu Sea / Honda Bay—especially beautiful at sunrise or sunset.
Baker's Hill
  • 30m
Baker’s Hill is a family‑friendly mini park and bakery perched on Mitra Road in Barangay Sta. Monica, just outside Puerto Princesa City. It started as a simple local bakery known for its hopia (a Filipino sweet pastry) The bakery itself and small souvenir stalls sell freshly baked treats perfect for pasalubong, including hopia, pastel breads, and sweet goodies. Many visitors buy boxes of hopia and pastries to take home.
Palawan Butterfly Ecological Garden and Tribal Village
  • 1h
  • Admission ticket included
The garden showcases various tropical butterfly species fluttering in a landscaped enclosure, giving you a chance to observe them up close. The site also features a Palaw’an Tribal Village, where indigenous community members share traditional crafts, music, hunting tools, survival skills, and cultural practices.
Binuatan Creations
  • 30m
Binuatan Creations is not just a souvenir stop — it’s a living workshop where tradition meets tourism, offering insight into Palawan’s weaving heritage, hands‑on craft experiences, and meaningful local souvenirs that support community artisans.
Balayong People's Park - Watch Tower
  • 30m
Running tour; Named after the local medium‑sized trees with pink‑to‑white blossoms that bloom around March–April, similar to Japan’s sakura. Will also stop at Chaolong House to experience a local cuisine. unique Filipino adaptation of Vietnamese pho that became popular when Vietnamese refugees introduced their cuisine to the city in the late 1970s. In Palawan, it’s known for its savoury, slightly sweet beef or pork broth. (Guest expense-optional)
MCA Market Mall
  • 30m
One of Puerto Princesa’s most popular one-stop souvenir and pasalubong shopping hubs.
