The Berchtesgadener Land is one of the most impressive regions in Bavaria, but most visitors see only a fraction of it. With us, you will experience a day that combines the power of nature, impressive views, and cultural history on a route that no travel guide can put together.
We will pick you up at 9:00 AM from your accommodation in Chiemgau and drive along the Deutsche Alpenstraße to Ramsau in the heart of the Berchtesgadener Land.
First stop: the Wimbachklamm gorge. Between meter-high rock faces, thundering waterfalls, and the sound of the mountain stream, you will experience nature at its most pristine – on an easy walk, without being hurried along.
Then, continue to the Hintersee, one of the most beautiful mountain lakes in Bavaria. A short walk along the shore leads to the small islands that give the lake its fairy-tale character. Time for a break with homemade cake!
Afterwards, take the Rossfeld Panoramic Road up to 1,600 metres. The view of Watzmann, Untersberg, and the Salzach Valley is unparalleled and can be enjoyed to the fullest over lunch in the highest alpine pasture in Germany that is accessible by car.
The afternoon belongs to Bad Reichenhall and the history of white gold. In the Old Salt Works, you will immerse yourself in 1,000 years of salt history. Finally, we stroll to the Royal Spa Park with its graduation house, where the salty air still has its effect today.
We will take you back to your accommodation at around 6:00 PM.
