What you can expect
Start this exciting tour with a pickup in Barcelona, where you will be welcomed by our expert guide. From there, we will head to Platja d'Aro, a charming seaside town known for its stunning landscapes and vibrant maritime life. Here, a boat awaits you, and we will use it to explore the best coves and routes along the Costa Brava. We will sail along the picturesque coastal route and arrive at Cala del Pi, a small, cosy cove popular with couples, families, and hikers.
With its coarse sand and easy access on foot or by car, Cala del Pi is known for its rocky seabed, making it an ideal spot for snorkelling or scuba diving. This cove has been ranked as one of the best beaches in Europe, offering a natural setting that is perfect for relaxation and adventure. After exploring the coves and enjoying water activities, if you wish, you will have the option to have lunch at a local restaurant, where you can sample traditional dishes such as an exquisite seafood paella, prepared with rice or fresh seafood.
We will then continue our journey to the region's picturesque medieval villages. First, we'll head to Pals, where we'll climb to the Mirador del Pedró, one of the highest points in the village. From here, you will enjoy a spectacular panoramic view that sweeps across the rice fields, the Empordà plain, and, on clear days, as far as the Pyrenees. This is the perfect spot to take some photos and capture the beauty of the surroundings. Next, we will stroll through the narrow streets lined with stone houses adorned with colourful flowers and visit the Torre de les Hores, a 12th-century Romanesque tower that formed part of Pals's old defensive wall.
The Torre de les Hores, which takes its name from the bell tower added in the 15th century, is one of Pals's most iconic landmarks and offers a fascinating glimpse into medieval architecture. From there, we will head to Peratallada, another beautiful medieval village, where we will enjoy a stroll through its cobblestone streets and past its stone façades. Plaza de les Voltes is the heart of Peratallada, a town famous for its well-preserved medieval centre, which will take us on a journey back in time.
Finally, after this day full of history, natural beauty, and culture, we will return to Barcelona, where our tour concludes. You will have the opportunity to relax and reflect on all the memories and experiences of this wonderful day.
