Overview

  • This exclusive four-hour tour offers a deep dive into Rome's subterranean history, combining the comfort of a luxury vehicle with a driver and the expertise of a private archaeological guide. The tour begins with a pick-up from your hotel and transfer to the Basilica of San Clemente, known as the city's “archaeological lasagne.” With your guide, you'll descend through three levels of history: from the upper medieval basilica, through a 4th-century church.
    Next, the driver will take you to the Capuchin Crypt on Via Veneto, a haunting space adorned with the remains of 4,000 friars, offering a unique insight into the Baroque concept of mortality. The tour concludes with a visit to Vicus Caprariu before your final return to your hotel.
