The Prime Time Theatre is a must for anyone who loves Berlin… whether a local or a tourist!

Famous for its globally unique stage sitcom “Gutes Wedding, Schlechtes Wedding” (GWSW), which has been running since 2004, the cult theatre offers a hilarious combination of quirky capital city charm and likeable area cheekiness, and even guarantees laughter.

Beautiful, quirky, and above all funny things from the area, the rest of the city, and even impressions of Brandenburg village life have been successfully staged here for almost a quarter of a century… including clichés – but always packed with a lot of heart!

This creates culture for everyone, theatre you can touch – “IN-ECHT-FLIX,” as the team itself describes the atmosphere.

With each piece, the audience is immersed in a constantly changing mix of skilful acting with lots of local colour, loving parody, crazy comedy, and brilliant punchlines. In the “GWSW cosmos,” guests can either look forward to sitcom episodes (which, however, always start with a “What has happened so far” to provide an easy introduction) or comedies whose plot unfolds independently of the series. But you will definitely encounter the typical and popular characters and can laugh at and with them.

The Prime Time Theatre is particularly popular for its living room feel. Drinks and snacks from the cosy “RAZ Café” in the foyer can be taken into the auditorium in the good old cinema style and enjoyed there: from ice cream to nachos and popcorn to delicious tarte flambée.

The great authenticity and approachability also create a cosy feeling. The entire ensemble is happy to strike up a personal conversation with guests (sometimes even during the performances). Right at the reception, fans look forward to being greeted by artistic director Oliver Tautorat, who already creates a great atmosphere here. “Wen oder wat freu' ick?” he then asks, thereby teaching newcomers an important grammatical Berlin lesson right away. The answer, of course, must be formulated in the capital's accusative. “MIR!!!!” is therefore the enthusiastic, unanimous response.
