What you can expect

Itinerary After being picked up in the city centre and before arriving at “Cerro Rico”, make a brief stop at the Mining Market, the most attractive in the area. You will have free time to buy dynamite, alcohol and coca leaves as gifts for the miners you will visit inside the mine. The mines visited are located at the base of the historic Cerro Rico de Potosí. Inside, appreciate the miners' work system that has not undergone major changes after so much time of exploitation. Touring the different galleries and interior levels of the mines, visitors can see some places where the miners built statues representing their gods, such as El Tío de la Mina (the devil). Visitors can also see the mineral veins that are a set of rocks and chemical formations of minerals, chimneys, as well as having a time of living with the miners and observing the different work methods they carry out every day.
