Get ready to ride the spectacular moving sand dunes of the Worimi Conservation Lands in Port Stephens—this is no ordinary day out!

Your adventure begins with a scenic 4x4 journey across the vast golden dunes, taking you away from the crowds to our exclusive, secluded sandboarding area. When you arrive, one of our friendly instructors will show you how to sandboard safely—whether you prefer to sit and slide or stand and surf. It’s easy to learn, great fun and suitable for a wide range of ages and abilities.

Choose from three different types of boards: sit-down boards, beginner stand-up boards and Pro stand-up boards for experienced snowboarders. You can even pair up with a friend or family member for a tandem sit-down ride. With a variety of slopes available, everyone can progress at their own pace—from complete beginners to confident and experienced riders.

When you’re ready for a break, relax in our shaded picnic area with tables and chairs. Bring your own snacks, drinks or picnic lunch and enjoy panoramic views across the dunes and surrounding forest. It’s also a fantastic spot for photos!

Your ticket includes one 4x4 ride to the sandboarding area, unlimited sandboarding while you’re there, and one return ride. Most visitors spend approximately one to two hours at the dunes, but you’re welcome to stay longer. Return shuttles operate approximately every 15 minutes, so you can simply hop aboard when you’re ready to leave.
