It is a charming historic area, known for its unique Japanese-style wooden buildings. This part of Pohang was also featured in the popular 2019 K-drama “When the Camellia Blooms”.
The street is also home to the Guryongpo Modern History Museum, which explores the lives of Japanese residents in the area.

Homigot Sunrise Square features the iconic “Hands of Harmony” bronze sculptures—one rising from the sea and the other from the land—symbolising unity and coexistence. It has become a must-visit spot for travellers and photographers alike.
