Activity itinerary

Travellers will explore the 2nd highest mountain in Portugal - Pico Ruivo - on an astonishing and popular trail with over 200 years. Guests will start a hike on the trail PR1.2 from Achada do Teixeira car park to Pico Ruivo. This will last for 4 hours, providing guests with enough time to hike to the 2nd highest mountain in Portugal and return. The total distance is 5 km (about 2.5km up + 2.5km down). The elevation gain is about 250 metres. Its a Sel-Guided hike, so you will receive a map and hike explanation and a schedule for the pick up. At the end of the trail, guests will encounter a restaurant called Mountain Spot Cafe, where drinks and meals are available. There will also be WC available for guests or not guests of the restaurant, with a cost of 0.5cent.
