Embark on a multi-day road trip from Perth to the Southern Ocean, exploring the Great Southern region, Walpole, Denmark, and Albany.
Day 1: Perth to Pemberton
Travel to Pemberton via Gnomesville, Donneybrook, Bridgetown, and Manjimup, passing through beautiful farming countryside and the Giant Forest country. Overnight in Pemberton.
**Day 2: Pemberton to Albany
Depart Pemberton and travel through forest country south to the towns of Walpole and Denmark via some stunning places. Visit the Valley of the Giants Treetop Walk outside of Walpole, taking you into the tall canopy of the enormous Eucalyptus forests (not recommended if you have a fear of heights). Continue along the coast to some of the most beautiful beaches in Australia, including Greens Pool and Elephant Rocks, then further past Denmark to the Gap just before Albany. Overnight in Albany.
Day 3: Albany to Perth
Spend a little time in Albany town, which has a number of attractions including the Albany ANZAC Centre. Enjoy walks and drives around the town with stops at points of interest to you, or head straight for the nearby Porongorup Range Granite Skywalk, which has a 2-hour walking/hiking (Good fitness required) trail to the top of the range with spectacular panoramic views. Continue north back to Perth, stopping along the “HorsePower (Tractor) Highway” for some quirky photo opportunities.
