Pekalen River Rafting: Adventure Through Bat Cave’s Rapids
Ready for a rush? Pekalen River is one of Indonesia’s top rafting spots. It’s tucked away in Probolinggo, just about three and a half hours from Surabaya, or an hour from Mount Bromo. If you find yourself in Surabaya with a free day, this is the place to spend it.
The river itself runs about 35 kilometres between Mount Argopuro and Mount Lemongan, eventually flowing out to the Madura Strait. What makes it special? Strong currents, wild rapids, hidden bat caves, and even a waterfall. Every stretch has something to get your adrenaline going.
