    The Itinerary in Detail:

    Your day begins at Florence SMN Train Station. Climb aboard the Italo High-Speed train and enjoy the comfort of First Class. The train journey is independent, and you will meet the tour leader and the rest of the group directly upon arrival at the station in Reggio-Emilia. In just 20 minutes, you will reach the spectacular Reggio-Emilia Mediopadana station, where our private driver will be waiting for you for the transfer to the Emilian countryside.

    For those who select the “smart” option, the day starts directly in Parma (in fact, train tickets are not included) and the meeting with the tour leader and the rest of the group is scheduled right in front of the NH hotel in Parma.

    The first stop is a traditional cheese factory. You will walk through the immense aisles of the ageing rooms (“the cathedrals of cheese”), surrounded by thousands of golden wheels.

    Note: If you choose the 8:30 AM option, you will be able to see the master cheesemakers at work during the highlight of production: the extraction of the steaming wheels from the copper boilers. An ancient and fascinating ritual that makes this tour unique. The visit concludes with a guided food tasting: learn to distinguish the nuances of flavour between cheeses aged for 12, 24, and 36 months.

    The tour continues towards the Parma hills, where the unique microclimate creates the perfect conditions for Prosciutto di Parma. You will visit a selected ham factory to discover how, thanks only to salt, air, and time, selected pork legs become one of the most prestigious meats in the world. Here, too, the experience culminates in taste: a rich food tasting of Parma ham, freshly sliced to enhance its unmistakable sweetness.

    At the end of the visits, the private transfer will take you back comfortably to Mediopadana Station. Those who select the smart option will be taken back to Parma central station at the end of the tour.
