BALLESTAS ISLANDS TOUR (8:00 AM to 10:00 AM)
The Ballestas Islands tour takes place on a modern boat and lasts two hours, during which we will see a geoglyph called “El Candelabro,” a cultural heritage site that is over 2,500 years old, 170 metres long, and approximately 1.2 metres deep.
Then we move on to the three islands known as the “Ballestas Islands.” They have unique tourist attractions, where we can find extraordinary monuments carved into rocks, such as the Arco del Deseo (Arch of Desire) and Perfil de Cristo (Profile of Christ), among others. We will observe a great diversity of water birds, such as:
- Guano birds * Terns, among others
- Humboldt penguins * Pelicans
- Dolphins * Sea lions
At the end of the Ballestas Islands Tour, you will have 45 minutes to have a drink or stroll along the boulevard. At 10:45 a.m., we will meet again at the office to board the bus for the next tour.
PARACAS NATIONAL RESERVE BY TOURIST BUS (11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.)
The tour to the “Paracas National Reserve” lasts 4 hours. During this tour, we will stop at the flamingo viewpoint. The beaches to visit within the reserve are
● Yumaque Beach: This small, protected crescent-shaped cove is approximately 2 km long. Its name comes from the Quechua word for “place where you take your hand out.”
● Playa Roja: This is undoubtedly the most spectacular beach due to its exotic beauty. It has an igneous rock called pink granodiorite that breaks off from the Santa María hill and gives the beach its colour. Here we will take the opportunity to take photos.
● Itmos Peninsula Viewpoint: At this viewpoint, we will stop to observe the entire bay of Paracas, which has a spectacular view. Here we can take pictures and make beautiful videos to remember the trip.
● La Mina Beach: This is one of the most famous beaches in Paracas due to its incredible turquoise waters, surrounded by cliffs and protected by the open sea.
Finally, after visiting the beaches, we return to Paracas.
