Discover the essence of Palermo on a unique two-wheeled experience, cycling through its charming historic centre, a veritable treasure trove of history, art, and traditions. This bike tour offers an authentic way to discover the city, combining its most iconic landmarks with lesser-known yet equally charming spots.
The tour starts at Discesa dei Giudici 13, an ideal starting point to immediately immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of the historic centre. From here, you will begin to explore some of Palermo's most iconic sights.
You will pass through the beautiful Piazza Pretoria, famous for its Renaissance fountain and statues, before reaching the majestic Quattro Canti, the Baroque heart of the city and the crossroads of its main historic thoroughfares. Shortly after, you will be able to admire the Cathedral of Palermo, an extraordinary example of architectural layering that bears witness to centuries of different rulers and cultures.
The route continues towards the Palazzo dei Normanni and Piazza del Parlamento, where you can soak up the history of the ancient Kingdom of Sicily and the fusion of Norman and Byzantine art. Next, you will reach the Teatro Massimo, Italy’s largest opera house and a symbol of Palermo’s cultural vitality.
You will then cycle down to the sea, to the striking Molo Trapezoidale, where the city opens out onto the harbour and the Mediterranean, before relaxing in the lush Villa Garibaldi, a haven of peace in the heart of the city.
The tour also includes a stop at the picturesque historic port of La Cala, a place steeped in atmosphere and deeply rooted in the city's seafaring tradition.
To make the experience even more complete, there will be a stop dedicated to Palermo’s street food. You'll have the chance to sample traditional specialities such as panelle and crocché, or – on Sundays – a delicious almond dessert, concluding the tour with the authentic flavours of Sicily.
This bike tour is the perfect way to experience Palermo in a dynamic, authentic, and engaging way, combining culture, history, and cuisine in a single unforgettable experience.
To ensure an authentic, high-quality experience, the tour is offered for a limited number of participants, with groups of up to 15 people.
