Oxford University Walking Tour™ | The ORIGINAL Oxford Alumni Tour | College Entry Included
Walk through Oxford with someone who has truly experienced it. Our guides are Oxford students and graduates who combine personal insight with a deep understanding of the university’s history, traditions, and architecture.
As the ORIGINAL Oxford alumni-led tour (est. 2013), we offer a more authentic and engaging experience than standard walking tours. This isn’t a script—it’s Oxford explained by the people who live and study here.
This 90-minute walking tour takes you through the heart of the city, covering Oxford’s most iconic landmarks, including Balliol College, Trinity College, the Sheldonian Theatre, the Bridge of Sighs, the Bodleian Library, Radcliffe Square, All Souls College, St Mary’s Church, Merton College, and the meadows beside Christ Church.
Along the way, you’ll hear how Oxford developed over nearly a thousand years, how the colleges operate today, and what student life is really like behind the scenes.
Not just an outdoor tour:
Many Oxford tours only show you the outside of the colleges. We aim to give you more.
Where possible, we include entry into one of Oxford’s colleges during the tour, most often the remarkable Divinity School—known for its stunning architecture and its role in the Harry Potter films.
As colleges are active academic spaces, entry depends on availability on the day and cannot be guaranteed. However, our guides always make every effort to include this, as it adds a completely different dimension to the experience.
For guaranteed access, you can also choose to add self-guided entry to New College after the tour—one of the most beautiful colleges in Oxford.
A city shaped by great minds
You’ll walk through the same streets as J. R. R. Tolkien, C. S. Lewis, Oscar Wilde, and T. S. Eliot, and hear how their time in Oxford influenced their ideas and writing.
