We pass the ancient fortress of Akershus and picturesque islands in the inner part of the Oslo Fjord. We will pass The Oslo Opera House, housing The Norwegian National Opera & Ballet ensemble. Akershus Castle and Fortress (Akershus Slott og Festning) (Pass by)
This is a medieval castle in the Norwegian capital Oslo that was built to protect and provide a royal residence for the city. It is not known exactly when the construction of the castle started but it is believed that it took place around the late 1290s, by King Haakon V
Oslo Opera House (Pass by)
s the home of the Norwegian National Opera and Ballet, and the national opera house in Norway. The building is situated in the Bjørvika neighbourhood of central Oslo, at the head of the Oslofjord. Construction started in 2003 and was completed in 2007, ahead of schedule and 300 million NOK (~US$52 million) under its budget of 4.4 billion NOK (~US$760 million).
