What you can expect

  • Immerse yourself in Japan's swimming culture with a visit to a traditional sento, a area public bathhouse where locals relax after work. This is not a luxury hot spring resort, but a truly authentic local experience.

Before entering the bath, your local guide will introduce the history of sento, explain Japanese swimming culture, and walk you through the etiquette step by step. You'll learn how to wash properly, how to use a small towel, and the customs that make the experience comfortable for everyone.

Your guide is male. Male guests can join the guide in the men's bath, while female guests can relax and enjoy the women's bath at their own pace before meeting again afterwards.

After the bath, we'll take some time to chat, share impressions of the experience, and answer any questions you may have about sento, Japanese culture, or everyday life in Japan.

This experience is not just about taking a bath. It's about understanding the traditions behind sento, experiencing a part of everyday Japanese life, and seeing Japan from a local perspective.

Towel rentals are included, so you can come empty-handed. A tattoo-friendly sento is carefully selected to ensure a comfortable experience for all guests.
