Discover the art of making authentic Japanese gyoza completely from scratch in this fun and hands-on small-group cooking experience in Osaka.
Unlike many cooking classes where the wrappers are already prepared, you’ll start from the very beginning — making your own gyoza dough by hand. With guidance from our friendly English-speaking staff, knead and roll the dough, shape your own wrappers, and learn how to fill and fold gyoza using traditional techniques.
With a maximum of only 8 guests, our small-group setting allows you to enjoy a relaxed and personal experience with plenty of support from our staff. No cooking experience is needed, making the class perfect for complete beginners and food lovers alike.
Once your gyoza are ready, watch as they are cooked until perfectly golden and crispy. Then sit down and enjoy the gyoza you made yourself, together with freshly prepared yakisoba, one of Japan’s most popular comfort foods.
Throughout the experience, you’ll learn more than just a recipe. Discover the techniques behind Japanese gyoza, learn about Japanese food culture, and enjoy a friendly atmosphere with your fellow travellers and local staff.
At the end of the class, you’ll receive an English gyoza recipe to take home, so you can recreate the experience for your friends and family.
Vegetarian and vegan options are available with advance notice. If you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions, please let us know when booking so we can prepare suitable ingredients.
Whether you’re travelling solo, as a couple, with friends, or with family, this small-group cooking experience is a delicious and memorable way to experience Japanese culture beyond sightseeing.
Come hungry, get hands-on, and leave with new cooking skills, great memories, and the knowledge to make authentic Japanese gyoza at home.
