What you can expect

  • The 3.5-hour tour starts at 10:30 AM at the Grand Canal. From here, we will set off through the streets of Trieste, following in the culinary footsteps of the Habsburg Monarchy. We will visit Trieste's oldest coffeehouses and sample the delicious dolci as well as the typical Nero in B. After that, we'll head to a very special wine bar in the city. We will learn which wines the emperors and empresses enjoyed. Emperor Franz Joseph loved simple cuisine, and we will get a little taste of it at one of Trieste's most authentic buffets.
