What you can expect

Discover the buzzing world of honey bees on Oahu’s scenic North Shore with a guided bee farm tour, available Tuesday through Sunday. Begin your experience by exploring the apiary’s lush grounds, home to over 100 different fruit trees, where bees forage and pollinate a variety of blooms throughout the year.

Start with a mini-beekeeping lesson, where your guide will introduce you to the basics of hive management and bee behaviour. Get zipped into a ventilated beekeeper suit and join your guide for a close-up look inside an active hive. Watch as frames are pulled from the hive, revealing intricate honeycomb filled with honey, pollen, and brood (baby bees), and learn how bees work together to support the colony.

After your hive exploration, enjoy a honey tasting session featuring the farm’s own honey varieties. This hands-on tour is ideal for families, couples, students, and groups looking for a unique, educational outing. Ask questions, snap photos, and gain a new appreciation for these essential pollinators. The tour lasts about 1.5 hours and is suitable for all ages.
