Overview

Unlike many tours 2 to 3 hours which allows only enough time for a picture, guests on this tour get the full experience, climb to the top of Cabot Tower, enter lighthouses, walk to the edge of the continent, interact with local fishermen and view them working their catch. Fort Amherst Lighthouse

Drive through the Southside of St Johns, view the vaults used to store Newman Wines 300 years ago, view the Outer Battery from across the harbour, walk to Fort Amherst Lighthouse.

Cape Spear Lighthouse National Historic Site

The most easterly point in North America. Stand with your back to the water and the entire continent is in front of you. Visit the gift shop, visitors, centre. Enter the lighthouse which is restored to the way it was when it was lived in by the keepers. Visit the war houses. Watch for whales often seen offshore.

Petty Harbour

One of the oldest fishing communities in Newfoundland. Walk the jetty, interact with local fishermen working their catch. Visit the old church, stop for ice cream, view the beauty of the colourful community with houses of red green yellow blue and anything in between.

Quidi Vidi Battery

Step back in time, the narrow roads through Quidi Vidi villiage with its colourful houses which line the edge of the roads. A fishing village dating back to the 1500s. Walk to the edge of the cliffs and view the narrow inlets where fishermen come and go.
