What you can expect

(Chosen time) Pickup from the bus terminal or hotel in city centre Nazca.

We depart by transport to the east of Nazca in search of the Cantalloc Aqueducts, a groundwater collection system, where we will learn how wise hydrologists of the pre-Columbian past invented an ingenious irrigation system in a place where rain is an almost unknown phenomenon.

Knowing the landscape, they sought out sources of groundwater to direct it to their farmlands, thereby mastering one of the most challenging environments on the planet. Then, we will visit the Aguja Geoglyph, which according to researcher David Johnson is related to an important source of groundwater in the area.

We'll end our visit at the Paredones Administrative Centre, an Inca administrative centre near Nazca, established around 1470. Initially built in adobe and later in stone, it facilitated administrative control and connectivity between the coast and the highlands.

At the end of the excursion, transport to the bus terminal or hotel in city centre Nasca.
