“Naumburg beer is the Malvasia of Thuringia”: that's what they said in the Middle Ages. Naumburg beer was an export hit at the time and more popular (not only) among the people of Thuringia than their wine. Even Martin Luther regularly received a load of Naumburg beer. What might it have tasted like? And why was it responsible for the biggest catastrophe in Naumburg's history?
This guided tour combines a city tour of the most important landmarks and breweries in the city with a guided tour through the history of beer and the art of brewing over the past 1000 years.
