We will explore the place where the people of Narbonne have lived since antiquity, in the current Town Hall Square, the former Palace of the Archbishops, whose facade has so much to tell us. Then we will enter the Palace's main courtyard, with its Grand Staircase. Then we will follow in the footsteps of the archbishops towards the Cathedral of Narbonne, a treasure of 14th-century Gothic architecture, crossing the cloister where the gargoyles gaze at us.
Inside the cathedral, we will appreciate the height of the building's vaulted ceiling, which is what makes it famous. We will stop in front of the monumental organ, the 17th-century altar, and the 14th-century carved altarpiece, a book of images.
We will end our tour with the Promenade des Barques, which leads to Les Halles, an iconic meeting place for the people of Narbonne.
