Experience Naples from an unexpected perspective: the sea. The Wild Posillipo Tour is a guided kayak excursion along one of the most fascinating and “wild” stretches of coastline in the city, amidst nature, history and iconic views, and it's also suitable for first-timers.
The departure is from the Baia delle Rocce Verdi, at the foot of the Posillipo Hill. After an initial briefing on basic paddling techniques and safety rules, you will enter the water in stable and comfortable kayaks. From the very first strokes, you will feel the contrast between the city behind you and the silence of the open sea.
Paddling along the coast, you will reach Marechiaro, the famous fishing village with houses overlooking the water and fishing boats. From there, you will continue to the Gaiola area, a natural and archaeological jewel: crystal-clear waters, tuff walls, caves, and the remains of ancient Roman villas that are also visible from the surface. The guide accompanies the group with stories, interesting facts, and anecdotes that bring the landscape to life.
The last stop is the Bay of Trentaremi, one of the most unspoiled corners of the Posillipo coast, among cliffs and rocks shaped by the wind and the sea. Depending on the conditions, you can stop for a short break in the water, swim, or simply relax while admiring the panorama with Mount Vesuvius in the background.
The pace is relaxed and accessible: no specific athletic training is required, but the ability to swim and a moderate level of fitness are required for an outing of about 2 hours. The return follows the same stretch of coast, with new light and new perspectives on what you have just explored.
