During this guided wildlife tour in the Monteverde Cloud Forest, you will explore an extraordinary protected area that preserves over 5,000 hectares of tropical cloud forest—one of the most biodiverse ecosystems on the planet. This unique environment is home to numerous species endemic and native to the Monteverde mountains. As you walk along trails surrounded by lush vegetation, you will have the opportunity to observe tropical birds, insects, epiphytes, and orchids—and, with a bit of luck, some mammals. Your naturalist guide will share insights into the cloud forest's ecology, the importance of its conservation, and the interactions between species. Furthermore, this region is situated along the Continental Divide, where trade winds drive the constant cloud formation that gives rise to the iconic Monteverde Cloud Forest.
