The guest will be welcomed directly by the owner who will briefly explain the exploratory tour.
We start with a visit to the palace, where traces of medieval stone and wood construction are evident and the life of Prof. Cosmo de Horatiis, father and populariser of Italian Homeopathy, Surgeon-in-Chamber of Francis I of Bourbon, King of the Two Sicilies from 1825 to 1830, is introduced.
It is the only place where it is possible to view the entire bibliographical work of the illustrious scientist.
We will thus be introduced to the precious library containing documents and ancient books dating from the 1500s to the middle of the last century.
The texts embrace many different areas, from medicine, law, religion, history, literature, poetry and science.
The tour will be enriched with a descent, via a comfortable and wide internal stone staircase, to the Ancient Hypogeum Oil Mill, a work of industrial archaeology coeval with the Palace.
Here it will be possible to admire how the oil was made, the mighty donkey-driven stone millstone, the mammoth press with endless wooden mother screw, the animal manger and all the rooms and equipment needed with numerous details.
Finally, it will be possible to purchase typical handicraft products.
The visit lasts about two hours
