What you can expect

  • Begin your journey with a pickup from your accommodation and head towards the iconic Playa de los Muertos via a spectacular coast road. Make a stop at a mountain viewpoint that offers spectacular views and wonderful photo opportunities.

    Continue on your way to Playa de los Muertos, where, for a couple of hours, you will enjoy one of the most beautiful beaches in the Province of Almería, if not the whole of Spain. Reach the beach by descending a path of about 500m (a walk of about 10-15 minutes).

    After enjoying your time at this famous beach, head up to the top of a extinct volcano crowned by a fossilised coral reef, where you will see an old 18th-Century defence tower and a lighthouse dating back to 1863. From here, enjoy amazing panoramic views over the Mediterranean, along the coast of Cabo de Gata natural park and inland over the sierras (conditions permitting).

    Then, head for Carboneras, where you will get a taste of this old fishing village and where you will stop for a delicious Spanish lunch in a typical local restaurant (not included in tour price).

    After lunch, head back to your accommodation, but not before making one more enjoyable, surprise stop along the way.
