What you can expect

  • Discover the art of sushi making in this hands-on cooking class in Minneapolis, guided by Chef Pao and designed for beginners and sushi lovers alike.

This interactive experience introduces essential sushi techniques using fresh, approachable ingredients. Begin by learning how to prepare seasoned sushi rice, the foundation of every great roll. Then, practice basic knife skills as you slice cucumber, avocado and imitation crab to assemble a classic California roll. Next, turn up the flavour with a spicy salmon roll made with fresh salmon, crisp vegetables and a bold, well-balanced sauce.

Chef Pao provides step-by-step guidance throughout the class, making each technique easy to follow and replicate at home. End the session by rolling, slicing and enjoying your handmade sushi in a relaxed, social setting. You’ll leave with practical skills, new confidence and recipes you’ll want to recreate again and again.
