Discover Guatapé and El Peñol, two of Colombia's most iconic destinations, on a full-day sightseeing tour full of natural scenery, history, and colour.
The sightseeing tour begins with pick-up and transport in comfortable passenger vehicles, accompanied by a professional tour guide throughout the tour. You will enjoy an included breakfast to start the day with energy.
Our first stop will be at Alto del Chocho, a natural vantage point that's ideal for appreciating the landscape of the reservoir and taking photographs. Then we'll visit the replica of the old Peñol, a historical site that preserves the memory of the original town flooded by the dam.
We continue with a boat tour of the Guatapé reservoir, where you can admire islands, holiday homes, and unique panoramic views of the reservoir. Afterwards, we'll arrive at the famous Piedra del Peñol, where you'll have approximately 1.5 hours of free time to optionally climb to the top and enjoy an incomparable view (admission not included).
Afterwards, we'll enjoy a typical lunch, and later we'll take a guided tour of the colourful town of Guatapé, visiting the Calle de las Sombrillas, the Plaza de los Zócalos, the Malecón, the central park, and the church, with time to walk, take photos, and enjoy the local atmosphere.
The sightseeing tour includes a medical assistance card and the option to take the tour in English upon prior request, guaranteeing a safe, comfortable, and well-organized experience.
