Located in the heart of the Itria Valley, Martina Franca stands out as one of the region’s most significant towns. It is renowned for its festivals and its numerous Baroque and Rococo-style buildings.
The tour begins in Piazza XX Settembre and Porta Santo Stefano, then continues to Piazza Roma, where you can admire the Fountain of the Dolphins and the Ducal Palace, an impressive building with an elegant Baroque façade, featuring decorated balconies, sculpted frames, and a harmonious interplay of architectural details.
Strolling through the narrow streets of the old town, you will visit the Basilica of St. Martin, an outstanding example of Baroque architecture, known for its richly ornamented façade and refined sculptural elements.
