Embark on an unforgettable adventure exploring the Gruta del Manto Sagrado, a mysterious cave nestled in the heart of Peru's nature. This unique experience allows you to uncover the secrets of this sacred cave while admiring fascinating rock formations and local wildlife. Itinerary :

Firstly, we left Tingo María at 8.30 am. to the hamlet of Huayna Cápac. Next, we prepare ourselves with the caving and adventure equipment.

• Once ready, we began a 30-minute journey along a trail to the mouth of the cave.
• Upon arrival, we will give the last instructions to enter the depths of the grotto where you will find capricious calcareous formations of stalactites and stalagmites, streams, pools and underground waterfalls that flow inside to a still unknown place. Furthermore, in its waters we will find shrimp and fish. In the upper part bats and insects typical of caves.
• Inside, at about 500 metres deep and in total darkness, we will see the Manto Sagrado waterfall. Being there you feel the sensation of taking a trip to the centre of the earth.
• Also, you can take a dip in its holy water falls.
• Finally, to reach this point and elevate the extreme adventure, rappelling and underground climbing activities will be carried out inside.

Likewise, about 200 metres further we will visit an underground pool. This is one of the most fascinating and mysterious places in Tingo María.

At one point in the Grotto you will learn the mysterious legend of the “Sacred Mantle”.
