“Hello! We are Gerasimos, Tina, and Stelios. In the heart of the Greek countryside, right next to the historic site of Mycenae, we open our farmhouse to welcome friends for an experience dedicated to the flavours and traditions of our land.
We will celebrate your arrival with chilled Ouzo and traditional Greek snacks (a surprise!) in the courtyard.
Our evening begins! We’ll put on our aprons and prepare traditional recipes together, such as yemista(Greek Stuffed Tomatoes)-spetsofai(Greek Sausage and Pepper Stew)-classic Greek salad (choriatiki), and tzatziki. We use our own olive oil and fresh or dried herbs—like wild oregano, thyme, rosemary, and mint—carefully gathered from our garden or the slopes of the mountain that embraces our village.
We’ll light the wood-fired oven in the courtyard and share the secrets of Greek cuisine, just as we learned them from the elders. While our food is baking and the aromas fill the air, it’s time for some creativity: we will show you how to make natural soap using olive oil and honey, following our grandmother’s old recipe.
The highlight of the day is the gathering: We’ll all sit together at the large table to taste everything we cooked, accompanied by fine wine from the historic Nemea Cooperative. And we will say our goodbyes with a Sirtaki dance, feeling the true spirit of Greek hospitality!”
