A Hands-On Artisan Experience
Guided by local experts, you will step inside a traditional workshop to learn the ancient art of papier-mâché. You will get your hands “dirty” with creativity using authentic materials: newspaper, vinyl glue, and plaster moulds. Under the guidance of the “Maestri Cartapestai,” you will shape your own mask, following the same techniques used to build the giant floats that parade along the Maiori seafront every year.

Paint, Decorate, and Personalise
Once your creation is ready, it’s time to bring it to life! You will paint and decorate your mask with professional acrylic colours, making it a one-of-a-kind souvenir. This workshop is a journey through irony, social messages, and centuries-old manual skills that have been passed down through generations.
