The Blue Bay Marine Park, located in the South-East of Mauritius, is the biggest Coral Garden & Marine Life Reserve on the island. Since 1985, it is an official Nature Reserve under State protection, to preserve the ecosystem. Additionally, the Marine Park with its great diversity of Corals and Fishes, is one of the best spots for Snorkelling in Mauritius.
The best way to visit this protected Reserve, is an Excursion in a Glassbottom Boat. In this way, you can watch the different types of corals and fishes from the boat. Even sea turtles are living in the surrounding of the Marine Park and can be spotted during the Excursion.
After a small visit, you will move to the spot for Snorkelling, where you can dive into the clear and shallow water, to enjoy Snorkelling among corals, shoals of fish and sometimes, even with a sea turtle.
At the end of the excursion, you will return to the public beach of Blue Bay.
