Accessible by a track that crosses the savanna and cashew plantations, the Anjohibe site offers an extremely wide variety of tourist attractions, and we suggest staying there for 3 days and 2 nights.
The caves form a network of interconnected chambers stretching over several kilometres: numerous limestone formations create impressive stalactites and stalagmites that can exceed 10 metres in height. A cave site considered to be the most important in Madagascar.
Lake Andranojoby is a true natural swimming pool. Downstream, waterfalls drop 20 metres. A small adjacent forest is populated by lemurs that are easy to spot (Coquerel's sifaka).
A route leads from the site, through Mahajamba Bay (vast mangroves and their birdlife, traditional activities in the villages, etc.), to the Sofia River Bridge on the RN6 (20 km from Port-Bergé): for those who want to continue their exploration of Madagascar in the most northerly regions.

Accessible from April to November by 4x4 vehicle (63 km of dirt track preceded by 20 km of paved road from the city of Mahajanga).
