You will then set off on a guided tour of the vineyard, where the winemaker will tell you about his storey and the history of his estate. During the walk, the winemaker will explain the work carried out in the vineyard throughout the year, as well as the different stages of the harvest.
From the heights of the vineyard, you will take a moment to observe the landscape and discover the distinctive panorama of the Haut-Mâconnais, gaining an understanding of how the terrain, climate, and exposure shape the character of the wines.
The tour continues in the winery, where the winemaker will explain the stages of winemaking to you: grape harvest, pressing, fermentation, and wine ageing. You will also learn about the equipment and methods used to transform grapes into wine.
You will then take part in a hands-on task in the vineyard or the winery: pruning, disbudding, lifting, harvesting, or a step related to winemaking. This hands-on participation allows you to experience the reality of the winemaker’s profession.
The experience concludes with a commented tasting of three wines from the estate, a convivial opportunity to engage with the winemaker and fully appreciate the fruits of his labour.
This activity is for adults only (18 years and older).
