What you can expect

Discover Lucca on a 3-hour guided tour designed for first-time visitors. This itinerary offers a comprehensive overview of Lucca's history, from its Roman origins to the contemporary era, through its most iconic monuments and its most evocative squares.

During the visit, you will walk along a stretch of the imposing, perfectly preserved Renaissance walls, a symbol of the city. You will admire the splendid St. Martin's Cathedral (€3 entry, not included), which houses important works of art, and you will enter the picturesque Guinigi district, where the famous Guinigi Tower with its hanging garden stands.

The tour continues to the charming Anfiteatro Square, built on the ancient Roman structure, and the San Frediano Basilica, known for its extraordinary golden mosaic. You will then walk along Via Fillungo, the lively shopping street in the heart of the historic old town.

You will reach Piazza San Michele in Foro with its spectacular church, one of the most representative examples of Lucca's Romanesque architecture. Along the route, you'll also see the exterior of Giacomo Puccini's Birthplace, a tribute to the famous composer.

The tour ends on Piazza Napoleone, which is overlooked by the Palazzo Ducale (Palazzo Pubblico), centre of political life in the city.

An ideal experience to get your bearings in Lucca and grasp its essence in a few hours, accompanied by an expert guide.
